Essential functions

• Responsible for repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Field mechanic. Repairs equipment in the field and the shop.
• Provides weekly maintenance on golf course equipment.
• May be asked to drive a light truck or operate mowing equipment.
• Performs other duties and/or tasks as directed by management.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Must be able and willing to take directions.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills and coordinate and complete tasks with limited supervision.
• Must be a self-starter and eager to learn.
• Must be able to recognize and solve problems.
• Must possess time management skills.
• Must maintain high performance standards.
• Ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with employees, management and members.
• Knowledge of the use of turf and landscaping equipment including tractors, mowers, aerifier, electric motors, etc...
• Must be a detail-oriented individual and possess time management skills.

Education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year previous mechanic experience required.
• Experience in small and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, mechanical expertise on golf course reel mowers (sharpening and set up)
• Some welding experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
